Sunday School Fun!
We are blessed at Aldersgate to have very experienced teachers in our Sunday School department. During the school year, we are exploring the Bible with FaithWeaver Curriculum. This series uses games and gadgets to teach bible stories that weave faith into life. Children have fun and learn God's word at the same time!

Wacky Wednesday Kids at their best!
Wacky Wednesday: there is always a crazy holiday that they are celebrating! Children make new friends and learn about the Bible in a fun and inviting way through playing games, doing crafts, singing songs, and doing dramas! There is always something fun on Wednesday Nights! Penny Jeffery does a wonderful job in planning every Wacky Wednesday. She is passionate about this program and shows great energy with all the kids!
Every year the third graders are presented with Bibles. June Gill is our third grade Sunday school teacher. She works really hard to help the children learn the books of the bible and how to use and find verses in the Bible.

Nursery is always available!
We love having babies in the nursery! Carol Rogers, Katie Kolar, Aubrey Robertson, and Sarah Colburn are now overseeing our Nursery. Carol Rogers is the Director of the Mothers Day out Program here at Aldersgate. Carol loves working with the babies and the babies love Carol! Carol has five kids of her own from their 20s down to age 5. Aubrey, Sarah, and Katie all attend McMurry and love working our children. They are here every Sunday Morning during Sunday School and Church to receive your baby and give you a pager in return. Be assured that we will call you if you are needed. We want you to worship stress free and we want to get to know your amazing child!
In our Toddler Nursery we have Brenda Mitchell. Brenda is a long time church member who has volunteered to serve in the nursery! She loves the Lord and working with your children. She has also set a curriculum for the toddlers of singing and learning about the Bible in a fun interactive way. As needed, we fill in with eager youth that have been trained in Nursery Work. Bring on the Children!
VBS 2007! We went into the world of Narnia!
This year for VBS we wrote our own curriculum! Each day the kids came into Narnia to learn about how we can better serve God. After that, they went to a series of workshops. They also went to work out at the Battle Field and ate at the Beaver's Cave. This year we collected money for the Heifer Project. The kids were excited to learn about different animals and how they helped others by giving the gift of an animal. By the end of the week we had enough money for four different animals. We gave geese, a lama, water buffalo, and rabbits. Each day brought on a new and exciting challenge. The kids meet with the White Witch and other characters from the story of Narnia every morning. In the end Aslan won! The adults learned things as well as the children. We've discovered that during VBS, God gives us our VBS for the next year.
VBS 2008
We look forward to next year where we will enter into space! We will be having Soul Wars! Come and meet Princess Leah, Chewbacca, and many others!We are so excited about this coming VBS! It is sure to be an adventure the children will never forget. We will be traveling into another world to learn how God created everything for a purpose. Come and see who wins the Soul Wars.

Sights Sounds and Smells of Christmas
On December 3, we spent the morning making wonderful gifts for our family and friends! Each child went home with 11 wrapped gifts made with great love and care. Assisted by youth and adults, we hand made gifts to give and remembered that it is better to give than to receive! Thanks to all those who donated items and helped us the morning of!
