Friend to Friend Ministry

Aldersgate United Methodist Church has a Friend to Friend Care Team Ministry, and every word has meaning: It's friend to friend, it's caring, it's a team, and it's a ministry. What do the members of this team do? We minister to families and individuals with special needs. Ministry may include:

* transportation to worship services, study group, classes, congregational activities;
* transportation to a physician's office or clinic, shopping or other outing;
* in-home visits to provide companionship or assistance with light chores;
* minor house repairs such as dripping faucet or replacing a light bulb;
* assistance to a family caregiver who is the sole support of an ill or disabled loved one;
* respite opportunities to enable caregivers to rest from their caregiving responsibilities;

This is friend to friend, this is caring team; this is ministry. "In as much as your have done it unto the least of these, my brethren, you have done it unto me."
