We are dedicated to sharing our love for God and the message of Christ through music here at Aldersgate Methodist Church. Through our various programs we hope to help others discover, develop, and share their musical gifts from God with the church and our community.  We seek to provide musical opportunities to praise, pray, and express our faith, and in so doing, uplift others and bring them to a closer understanding of the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Aldersgate practices a blended style of worship.  We strive to incorporate many types of music that speak of God's love for people of ALL ages.  On any Sunday morning you will experience songs of praise, joy, hope and adoration of our Lord.  Music is an integral part of our worship, honoring a long history in the United Methodist tradition.  We invite you to come and join us in that happy tradition here at Aldersgate.

ADULT CHANCEL CHOIR

* Meets Wednesdays at 7:00 PM *

The Adult Chancel Choir leads worship every Sunday morning at the 10:50 service. This group of about 25 members celebrates God through song. We sing many types of music including traditional choral arrangements, hymns, Spirituals, Praise & Worship and even children's favorites! No audition or prior singing experience is required - just bring along a willing spirit!

If you would like to be a part of this group, please come and visit us.  We rehearse on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.   If you would like more information, please call Emily at the church office (672-7893) or email her at music@aldersgateabilene.org.  We have a spot just for you and look forward to seeing you!

JUBILEE RINGERS

* Meets Wednesdays at 6:00 PM *

The Jubilee Ringers is a handbell choir made up of experienced adult ringers.  We laugh a lot and affectionatly call ourselves "Ding-a-Lings."

CHILDREN'S MUSIC MINISTRY

We currently offer two children's choirs - one for 3 & 4 year-olds and one for children in grades K-5. These groups meet for 30 minutes each on Sunday evening.

THE CHERUB CHOIR is for our smallest singers, ages 3 and 4. This group enthusiastically learns about God through songs, games, lessons and stories.  We praise God and have loads of fun in the process! Cherub Choir meets from 5:00 - 5:30 p.m. on Sunday evenings.

THE AGAPE CHOIR is for our elementary-aged students.  This group rehearses from 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday evenings.  The Agape Choir sings during the worship service at various times throughout the year. We are now working on the musical "Journey of Praise" by Pam Andrews for presentation in May, so now is a great time to join us!

MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS

MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS are avilable for students who would like to sing with Chancel Choir.  If you are interested in a scholarship, call Emily at 325-672-7893 or email at music@aldersgateabilene.org to set up an audtion.

PRAISE TEAMS

The Music Ministry at Aldersgate is currently looking for instrumentalists such as keyboardists, guitarists, drummers, bass guitarists, flutists, etc. and singers to form Prise Teams to lead the contemporary parise portions of our worship services.  You DO NOT have to be an amazing payer, just be willing to share your time and talent.  If you would like to become a part of this ministry, please contact Emily at 672-7893 or email at music@aldersgateabilene.org.
