 
BLENDED STYLE
Aldersgate practices a blended style of worship. We strive to incorporate many types of music that speak of God's love for people of ALL ages. On any Sunday morning you will experience songs of praise, joy, hope and adoration of our Lord. Music is an integral part of our worship, honoring a long history in the United Methodist tradition. Our founding father, John Wesley, and his brother, Charles, wrote thousands of hymns. Many of which are found in hymnals today! We invite you to come and join us in that happy tradition here at Aldersgate.
We have several music ministries. Each provide opportunity for participation in and leadership of worship. We also enjoy happy fellowship with fellow Christian musicians, making friends and creating relationships that we enjoy at both church and in our everyday lives. ADULT CHANCEL CHOIR
*Meets Wednesdays at 7:00 PM*
The Adult Chancel Choir leads worship every Sunday morning at the 10:50 service. This group of about 25 members celebrates God through song. We sing many types of music including traditional choral arrangements, hymns, Praise & Worship, Gospel, Spirituals and even children's favorites! NO audition or prior singing experience is required - just bring along a willing spirit!
If you would like to be a part of this group, please come and visit us. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 in the Sanctuary. THE JUBILEE RINGERS
*Meets Wendesdays at 6:00 PM*
The Jubilee Ringers is a level III-IV handbell choir made up of experienced adult ringers. We ring 3 to 4 octaves of bells. We laugh a lot and affectionately call ourselves "Ding-a-Lings."

COLLEGE & YOUTH MUSIC MINISTRY
MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS are available for students who would like to sing with Chancel Choir or help lead the Praise Team. Currently we have three students on scholarship. They represent 3 Abilene college campuses -- McMurry University, Hardin-Simmons University and Abilene Christian University. STUDENT PRAISE TEAM: The team is led by College Minister, Tim Palmer. If you would like to sing or play with this group, email Emily at music@aldersgateabilene.org.

CHILDREN'S MUSIC MINISTRY
Aldersgate LOVES children and they love Aldersgate! Currently, we offer two children's choirs. One for 3-4 Year-Olds and one for children in grades K-5. These groups meet for 30 minutes each on Sunday evening.
THE CHERUB CHOIR is for our smallest singers, ages 3 - Pre-Kindergarten. This group enthusiastically learns about God through songs, games, lessons and stories. We praise God and have loads of fun in the process! Cherub Choir meets from 5:00 - 5:30 p.m. on Sunday evenings.
THE AGAPE CHOIR is for our elementary-aged students. This group rehearses from 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday evenings. The Agape Choir sings during the worship service at various times throughout the year. We are starting to rehearse the musical "Journey of Praise" by Pam Andrews for presentation in the spring, so now is a great time to join us!

ALDERSGATE BRASS
The Aldersgate Brass is a brass ensemble that comes together at different times during the year to play during worship. If you play a brass instrument and would like to join us, contact Emily at 672-7893 or e-mail at music@aldersgateabilene.org.
