Open Door Class A growing class for all ages, singles or married.  We are stricly at Bible Study.  Our purpose is to join your will with God's by nurturing through prayer and study. We have 28 members (of all ages) and  growing!  We take pride in the fact that our door is always open. Our class studies the Bible under the direction of Spud Aldridge using the Journey Through The Bible study guide. We spend a great deal of time "caring" for others.  Some of our causes/activites we are devoted to are:  Methodist Service Center, Love & Care Ministries, Hope Haven, Aldersgate youth scholarships, Food Pantry, (up to 3 families) complete Thanksgiving meals for up to three families, Noah Project Christmas Party for the children and complete Christmas meals with gifts for the children up to three families..  Recently we made "care" baskets for those people in our class suffering with long term ailments  The baskets included small inspirational gifts or cards with the intention of one daily to be opened.  We have received many positive and appreciative responses from those who received them.  Our class is also involved with such projects as Abilene Weatherization Day and other volunteer organizations.  We are always looking for ways to help others.
