Outreach Ministry First-time visitors to Aldersgate are in for a treat - a loaf of the best bread in Texas delivered to their door that same Sunday afternoon. This is an outreach ministry with real taste. How does it work? Members of the adult Sunday school classes bake the bread and take the bread, one month per class. Out of eight classes, several kinds of bread emerge: banana bread, whole wheat bread, and cinnamon bread. Every loaf is good. And with every loaf comes a message as warm as the bread itself: "Welcome to Aldersgate." After the second Sunday, when the family returns to Aldersgate, our Visitation Director writes a letter of welcome back to Aldersgate. Contacts have now been made reaching out to the new family with words and deeds that say, "Welcome to Aldersgate, the church with the warm heart".
